Directions for Discussion Board

Think of an individual student in your classroom that would benefit from a shift in instruction based on the 6 shifts presented in the book 

• Write a case study/ reflection that includes the following:

  • Student starting data/ levels (please do not post student names/ identifiers online!)

  • Description of student need

  • Write a lesson plan summary of an instruction opportunity that would benefit this student. Explain how this plan ties to one of the 6 shifts presented in the book.  

  • Teach the lesson to the student 

  • Write a reflection on how it went 

• Please make sure you post both your initial post and responses using your first and last name!

• Read and comment on at least 2 posts. Complete post by April 28, so that participants can comment by no later than May 5, 2023.

• If you are seeking 4 units, submit unit form online after this step and pay for 4 units
